Road to IOM TT 2016 !

It’s been a while since I did not publish, a lot of changes in 2015 have made my passion for motorbike to be put aside…

But a big event in 2016 will make up for all that! After several years of hesitation, I finally motivated myself to go to the 2016 IOM TT (Isle Of Man Tourist Trophy 2016) !

I will take advantage of the preparation of this event / trip to regularly publish articles to share my experience, and who knows, maybe it will motivate you to join me on the spot !

For those who do not yet know the Tourist Trophy, this is it :

A bit of history/geography : “The Isle of Man, Isle of Man in English, Ellan Vannin, Mann or Mannin in Manx, Insula Mona in Latin, is a territory formed of a main island and a few islets located in Irish Sea, in the center of the British Isles. The Isle of Man forms a dependency of the British Crown, i.e. the island belongs neither to the United Kingdom nor to the European Union but directly under the property of the British sovereign, currently Queen Elizabeth II, who acts as “lord of Man.” This status does not make it an independent recognized state, but the island has wide political autonomy and economic.

The Isle of Man is a Celtic land since protohistory, then becomes a Viking kingdom in the Middle Ages, subject to Anglo-Saxon influence. The Scandinavian rulers founded a political system based on the principle of “free citizens” and organized around the Tynwald which would be the oldest functioning parliament in the world.

The Isle of Man is today one of the six Celtic nations (with Ireland, Cornwall, Brittany, Scotland and Wales) recognized by the Celtic Congress and the Celtic League.

The inhabitants of the Isle of Man are Manx.”
